We buy hallmarked sterling and Britannia silver: jewellery, cutlery, trays, cups, trophies and other household silver.
Silver is priced on the weight of pure silver in each piece. Sterling silver is 925 parts in 1,000; Britannia silver is 958.
Look for a lion passant, the number 925 or a Britannia figure among the hallmarks. Weighted items such as candlesticks have a filling, so we work out the silver weight when we see them.
