Ask for an offer

Tell us what you have and how you would like to sell. Photos help us give a closer price. We reply by phone or email.

How a sale works

  1. Get an estimate. Enter the metal, purity and weight in the calculator to see an estimate at today’s price.
  2. Bring or send the items. Come to the counter, book an appointment or ask for a postal pack.
  3. Testing and offer. We test the purity, weigh each item and confirm the offer. You can accept it or take the items back.
  4. Payment. Once you accept the offer, we pay you. Bring photo ID and proof of address when you sell.

Before you sell

How do you work out what to pay?

We test each item to find its purity, weigh it, and work out how much pure metal it contains. We then pay our rate of that day’s spot price for the metal. The calculator uses the same method, so its estimate matches the offer when the purity and weight match.

What do I need to bring when I sell?

Photo ID, such as a passport or driving licence, and proof of address, such as a recent bill or bank statement.

Can I sell by post?

Yes. Ask for a postal pack on the Sell to us page. Send the items in it, and we contact you with an offer once they are tested.

Do you pay for diamonds and gemstones?

The calculator prices the metal only. Tell us about any diamonds or gemstones when you ask for an offer, and we look at them when we see the item.
